Last Sunday, I was invited to P.S Tokyo First Anniversary Blogger Party. It has been ages since I went to P.S Tokyo and now it is already one year since their opening! Their official anniversary date is on 4th October and bloggers were invited to a special preview of their upcoming dessert - Japanese Hot Cakes.

If you have not heard about P.S Tokyo, it is located in the commercial area of SS2. P.S Tokyo focuses on giving a modern Japanese experience on top of serving quality Japanese desserts and drinks. The cafe exudes a cosy vibe with its minimalist decor whilst facing the busy streets of PJ. Oblivious to the street noise, customers can enjoy the street view at night by people and traffic watching at the bar area.

Initially, P.S Tokyo started off with a simple menu consisting of Japanese flavoured softserve which are Matcha, Hojicha, Milk and occasionally 1 seasonal flavour. The softserve are are available in mini (RM6.90), regular (RM9.90) and parfait (RM15.90) sizes. Seasonal softserve are priced at RM8.90 (mini) and RM17.90 (parfait).

I like all 3 flavours but my favourite is the Hojicha softserve. The current seasonal flavour is mint chocolate. I am not a huge fan of mint chocolate but this one was pretty good as the mint is not too overpowering and it is well balanced.

A variety of cakes are available such as Tofu Cheesecake, Yuzu Cheesecake and Hanjyuku Cheesee which is great to be paired with Japanese tea; Matcha (Green Tea), and Genmaicha (Rice Tea). P.S Tokyo also serves brewed drinks like Japanese roasted coffee, Matcha Latte, Kinako Latte and Honey Yuzu, along with imported Japanese bottled drinks such as Coke,  Minutemaid fruit juice, C1000 Vitamin Drink and Melon Soda which changes occasionally.

Over time, the menu has also expended to include light meals like the salad set. I tried the Kukuo no Set which consists of 1 salad of choice + 1 Kinoko Latte. The Kinoko Latte was surprisingly delicious :)

During the event, there was a parfait decorating contest! Did mine with some simple deco and I did not expect that I would actually win second prize for that! *happy*

In conjunction with their first anniversary, P.S Tokyo will be having two awesome promotions in October!
